I was going to buy one a few weeks ago in the Home Depot in Watertown. I bought the finish nailer instead, couldn't afford the two at the time. Next time I am over I will get one. Reading the reviews people seem to like them, the only thing is the funky smell from the fuel cells. That is a great price for that nailer. It was 379 in HD. The nails and fuel are much cheaper in the states I paid 25 euo for 2000 brads and two yellow cells. The framing nails will be dearer again

Used that sucker for a fencing contractor all I will say is be careful cos its an animal. Hve nt got a clue how much fuel cells or nails cost that was for the boss but it was a gret machine think they do one for driving hiltis too uses bullets another tool that brightened my day at work

Have had good experience with Paslode, like all nailers, fuel and nails relatively expensive. Bought the Hitachi NR90GC gun earlier this year. Broadly similar performance (nailing rate + nail size) to Paslode and despite being more expensive to buy than Paslode, the NR90 is more comfortable to handle and use and with a much better hand grip (improved ergonomics) the NR 90 offers a better overall performance at the end of a long nailing session.

Also worth noting the NR90 can use nails and gas cartridges from different manufacturers including Paslode. Own brands always good deals to be had.

For good deals on consumables look to dealers north of Border/UK (you must be VAT registered here to qualify for VAT free purchases otherwise you pay 17% UK VAT), check ou Parfit in NIrl.

Nail guns are ideal for fencing and payback is relatively quick. Leave hammers and drivers in the toolbox.

    Hi,

I waited a long time before buying the framer Paslode, my only regret is I waited so long, safety was my biggest concern but there's no need to worry, I don't know how they do it but I have used it (test) on 6mm ply with nothing behind it and the nail didn't drive through it.

The price is great but beware if anything goes wrong the Irish distributer may refuse to repair it or just charge more than usual.

There is a smell from the cartridge but using them at speed that should not be a problem.

One downside is they feel like a child's toy, very light plastic I wouldn't like to drop one, it can be easy to drop in the next line of nails the wrong way around so take care when re-loading.

I have used an old one, probably the same one that Noah used to build the Ark.
It worked well EXCEPT in rain where it ceased to function.
But they are a good machine.
I would be very careful buying fuel cells and transporting them by Air , I could be wrong but they are classed as flammable goods, and the airport people can be funny sometimes.

Your right there CJ the cells are not allowed to be airfreighted, so that rules out buying cheap ones from the US.

About 18 months ago I looked into commercially importing spurious nails and fuel cells from China, nails were no problem to source at very competitive prices but I couldn't find a supplier of fuel cells so the project died. (maybe I should look again!)

One point to note is that ring shank nails are really really silly money for the Paslode.

I have a paslode nailer kit and hilti bullet nailer, 200 quid for each.

PS - would be willing to offer € 150 for the Paslode, assuming it's the IM350 and all the bits come with nailer?

Have the biggest Bosch GBH hammer drill breaker also.

Year old, little use, immaculate, was 1400 euros, sell 700 euros.

Hey PS - not really interested in Hilti, Paslode can be got new for c € 400+/- VAT. The current prices on Bosch Gbh Hammers (forget the lists) for TOTR is < € 600 (excl VAT).

So my best and final offer is € 150 for Paslode or € 220 +/-for both.

You'got to factor in VAT, unlikely a DIY'er is going to be interested in Hammer.

Sonny, gettin mixed up with model numbers.

My Hilti breaker drill was 1300 euros and about the same watts, but the bosch GBH 1400 euro model is higher wattage - top of the range for breaker power, not the smaller GBH models and can core drill up to 6 to 8 inches, not these skimpy wee nippers that only do 3 inch core drilling.

I've just sold the paslode this evening to a late caller for 200 squids.
