Little question about my CV

    Hi Ya,

I am a little unsure with what should and should not be added to my CV.. I completed a BSc in Computing about 3 years ago and have been working in the area of Billing for a fairly big telecoms company for about 2.5 years..

In recent months I have completed a few training courses through work and some online courses through FAS.

For example, I completed a course on Unix with a training company in Dublin. I also completed a fairly detailed course on Ericssons new Charging System 3.0 (basically a billing solution for prepaid mobile phone services). On completion of both courses I was given a certificate to prove I completed the courses but there was no exams done or anything. I am unsure whether I should put these on my CV or not. I personally do not think I should but I thought I would double check.

Also, I completed the Linux course on FAS's e-college and plan to do a few more courses in the near future. Should I put these down on my CV? Once again, I don't think I should but I thought I would double check.

    Thanks

My advice is to put them on if they are relevant for the position you are applying for. Generally though, most employers would see the willingness to complete additional courses as a posative thing in trying to better yourself. Don't make your CV cluttered with loads of irrelevant stuff though. Keep it to the point!

If you do anything thats in any way relevant put it down.

If you got no cert from it, see if they'll pay for you to do the CompTIA Linux+ exam.
