A fun live 1/2 hand from Monday night

Table has been quite tight until I convince the table to start a €7 straddle. After this the pots are worth playing for.

So after dropping 120 of my initial 200 buyin, I buy another 250 in chips and slowly work it up to 820 when this fun hand occurs. I'm dealt JsTs in the cutoff and raise the blind raise to 25. 4 callers.

    Flop (125)
    As4sTc

Checked to me and I bet the pot. 1 caller.

    Turn (375)

    8d

    Check, check (good? bad?)

    River (375)

    9s

Checked to me and I bet 180. Villain who has me covered immediately pushes the rest of his stack in.

Some info on the villain - He sucks. I've seen him call down to the river with bottom pair on numerous occasions. I never bluff him. He will call raises with any two cards. He loves chasing draws even when they're expensive. He's raised a rock on the river with two pair when there were 3 to a flush on the board and then called his subsequent all-in.

    Call or fold?

Given your read on the villain that he is a calling station I think the turn check is fine seen as you have no FE against him.
Also again given description of villain he could have a lot of hands (including a made str on the river ) that you have beat so a call here is a must I feel.

    500 more to call then?

If the guy is this bad then surely he would do this with lots of hands. In this case you have to make the call I think. Has he previously raised on a scare card like this before and been called?

Surely the only hand he might have is KQs, but then again if you are saying he is as bad as he is he may well have Kxs or Qxs. Given his donkeyness I would hate it but call, but then again I am not a Holdem Cash player really.

Note: There is a new disease that the UN are investigating. It is called Fuzzitis. Main symptoms are limited to people appearing to mimic thread titles synonymous with the one known simply as Fuzzbox. Disease control experts are asking eagle eyed citizens to watch for this and report it to their nearest quarantine agent who will try to administer the vaccine before it is too late and immunity point has been reached. :)

Well it's actually more like a HJ title. but it was a fun hand.

If i was mimicing Fuzzbox I may have titled it:

"If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man, You win some, lose some, all the same to me"

would he push with the str8 tho?

i dont know what he has other than the nuts or a bluff.. and if he is bluffing what did he call you on the flop with!!?

depends on your read of the villain.. is he capable of checking the nuts to you on the river??

small chance he has played a small flush very badly.

I probably call here but it totally depends on my gut feel at the time..

more like "I knew it from the start You would break my heart But still I had to play this painful part "

He likes them with a homosexual edge I find.

Is HJ the fun man? If so I apologise to both himself and to Fuzzbox for any hurt and/or anguish I may have caused. I also change the disease name to Admireitis.

This villain bluffs very little. I don't think he knows what bluffing is, but he'll unconsciously semi-bluff with bottom pair or middle pair.

Well he probably doesnt think about whats the Nuts either so!
I think there are way too many hands we can beat here to fold, Kxs & Qxs, if he has either of these hes gettin my money.

Without puttin a whole lot of thought into it he probably has you on a good Ace and he could easily turn over a lower flush, set or most likely straight

ok, i get you. i probably call. It sounds like he's really bad!! He probably pays no attention to what you have.. against these players scare cards don't exist... he could easily have a straight as gholi mentioned.

    How about Idolitis?

You're affliction over the past few days can be labelled Condescendingitis or Smarmycuntosis (a little long winded I know!)

It is something there is no known cure for I am sad to report, and besides that one post which heavily featured text speak it has been well under control.

Thought ye were talkin about the SE. Guy came in sat at table mon night, convinced table to start straddle, lost a few quid then bought back in for 250, weird coincidence.
