    Hey all,

Just been offered a free holiday to Ibiza at the end of July, the accomodation is in San Antonio, is this place a dive or what, while i don't mind a few drinks/party, i do have a bit of a problem with people acting like animals, also is this a look over your shoulder at all times kinda place.

    Any info appreciated

I havent been myself but ive not heard great things about it - although that was a couple of years ago. Im sure its pretty similar to any island destination Playa Del Ingles, Playa De Las Americas etc. You have your animals and then the other people who just want to have a good holiday without wrecking anyone else's.

But a free holiday is a free holiday!

I've stayed in San Antonio 4 times. Twice in the town because it was all I could afford at the time. Twice in San Antonio Bay which is much nicer. San Antonio DOES have its bad side ie The West End which is just full of pissed up English beer boys but if you avoid that small area there are some much nicer parts. Not sure what kind of music you're into but the Sunset Strip has some great bars like Coastline, Cafe Mambo etc which attract some of the top DJ's from the world and are generally pretty cool places and fairly chilled out. The Bay is a lot more relaxed as well and has ok beaches and plenty of bars and restaurants.

If its a freebie I would say to go for it. The island itself is beautiful and if you hate San Antonio you can always hire a car or jump on a bus to other parts of the island.
