Dunnes are selling a 32" LG badged LCD HDTV for €999.

Has anyone bought one / know if they're worth the money?

    Thanks!

Don't have any specific info on the Dunnes one but it's probably similar to this one:

You save on the delivert in Dunnes though.

I saw them in Dunnes today, they weren`t priced or advertised in store though. Worth picking up one for the world cup maybe? :D

Well the Vision one is Hyundai and it is HD ready...apparently. Dunno anything about the Dunnes one. Lg make decent stuff though, I have a 42' lg plasma and its great stuff....had a brief read of the xtra vision thread just below this one, doesn't sound overly great

A cheap 32inch LCD will look dreadful for the world cup. The action will be too fast for the screens and you'll get blurry players with streaks behind them. Thats what I got with mine.

    What TV did you get?
The LG specs are 8ms pixel response time, this is good enough for fast moving video right?

    Certainly should be.
I have seen football on one of my mates cheapy lil 20odd inch lcd screen and it's absolutely dire. Always best to read a few reviews of your particular model before purchase!

yeah an LG HD ready would appeal more to me than the hyundai. I seen the hyundai in store and wasnt overly impressed and it was only showing a movie options screen! checked a dunnes in dublin yesterday and there were none but im crossin my fingers for later in the week.

Did you buy the same model as the one off komplett?

i work in cournelscourt and afaik we've had none come back.

seems a Good deal imho, as mentioned before, they would be nice for the Start of the world cup.

Yes, it's the same one. Mind you it was New Year's Eve so I guess prices have fallen since then. Currys are now selling it for 1200 I think.

Komplett.ie sell direct to the public & delivery to your address. They are very competitive. I bought a 26" LG HD Ready TV for €909.00 - at least €90 cheaper than DID or Power City or Harvey Norman:D
