Quad LNB query

    Guys,

Put up a sky dish over the weekend and put a new quad lnb onto it. With the first cable I ran from the quad lnb I was able to get a signal strength of approx 70 % and received the channels. I didn't have a sat finder, just a lot of patience.

For the second cable run it keeps telling me that "no signal is being received", when I check with the first cable it goes back to a signal strength of 70%.

I checked and rechecked the connections on the second cable put still get the message "no signal being received".

Any suggestions on what to do next ?

Try recording one channel and then switch to another channel. Read this somewhere on avforums.

If you have tried all the ports with the second cable and still no signal
it sounds as if the cable needs to be replaced
did you try cable no 1 in all the ports

double check the cable connections and make sure f connectors are wired correctly. or lnb is kaput.

Maybe a stupid question, but were you using the same receiver to check the signal strength or maybe a second receiver on cable 2 in a bedroom perhaps.
