    Hi all,

I'm trying to move email files from a winnt4 pc running Outlook express 6 to a winXP pc also running Outlook express 6, the trouble is after i move the files (to the correct folder) Outlook Express in XP doesn't see the emails.

If I transfer from another XP machine it works ok.

Is there a way of transferring the emails over without loosing everything.

    Pedro

hmm, if they are both using IE6 it should be fine.

Have you tried creating another new profile and importing the dbx files with the OE wizard, rather than dropping them into the folder?

If you can connect directly to the other computer you could try running the "files and settings transfer wizard" from the XP machine....

Just import them (File, Import, Messages ...) from within OE6, and choose "Import mail from an OE6 store directory" instead of "Import mail from an OE6 directory". Works perfectly.

    Thanks for the posts.
I got it sorted in a round about way.
I imported mail and addresses into Microsoft Outlook and coppied the PST file accross to the new PC, Nice wan though!
