    Boley from Co. Wexford won the Catchweight event in the national Tug of War league last Sunday at the National Country Fair in Emo, Co. Laois. Killylough from Co. Monaghan came second.

    The Grove from Co. Mayo won the Div 2 title.

    The second of six weight categories, the 600kg event takes place at the Clonakilty Agricultural fair Co. Cork this coming Sunday.

    The 600kg all Ireland took place today in Clonakilty, Co. Cork.
    The winners of the gold medal were Bremore from Dublin. The holders, Killylough from Monaghan were beaten into second after a classic final with the first pull lasting over nine minutes.
    The Grove from Co. Mayo won the Div 2 title.
