Oblivion owners - Cash in now before tomorrow!

Supposedly an Oblivion patch being released tomorrow over xbox live - one that 'fixes' a lot of glitches, the duplicate items bug and counts reward bug being just two.

I'm furiously dupe'ing items now and selling them, have about 25000gold already, just going to get enough to make things easier for me, before the updates released..

For some of you who don't know the dupe' glitch, heres how:

1. equip ANY bow weapon
2. equip ANY set of arrows
3. pull back on the bow (hold right trigger button) and HOLD it
4. press B button to enter your inventory
5. navigate to the arrows you are currently equipped with and press A to select
6. then navigate to a valuable item or any item of your choice and press the X button to 'drop item'
7. press B button to exit the inventory and fire the arrow
8. duplicate copies of your chosen item will drop to the floor - depending on the number of arrows you had equipped, ie if you equipped 20 arrows, you get 20 copies of that potion or armor.

Bear in mind not to dupe more than 200 items as the game will freeze..
I dupe 35 most as it slows down sometimes.. Also, some items wont dupe..most will.

Just a heads up for those of you who want to cash in on the last minute before they 'fix' our game.

Where did you hear about the patch?? Know if the money glitch is gonna be fixed where you kill some guy in his house and loot his body over and over??

Not sure about that one, the PC patch was released today and I read on some gaming website today that an xbox release was tomorrow.

Well, I'm going to make sure I disconnect from xbox live before I play Oblivion again, at least for a while anyway. That way I can avoid it :P

Yeah funky I did the same. Used the Dorian glitch to get some money then plugged the broadband back in. Handy because I hadnt much money left for repairing and recharging weapons/armour

I've mostly just been using the dupe to get lock picks and repair hammers when I run out and can't find enough lying around in crates. I did manage to dupe a couple of enchanted weapons once though but I've never been able to do it again since and now I figured out how to recharge them myself its not as much of an issue when they run out now.

using an exploit is just the same as cheating. so if you are going to cheat, its just as easy to enter a code :rolleyes:

Don't get why either, I never really had a shortage of cash in Oblivion.

I haven't needed cash, but I found the games been going slower for me lately, so I wanted to make 5000 to buy Benirus mansion and still have some left over for supplies, and have a new mission quest. I don't need and extortionate amount really.

There is never anything worth buying in Oblivion, I had ~50k by time I got bored of the game.
And I had items left lying everywhere prob worth 10 time that.
