    is anyone worried about posting their material to mysapce based on this?
    it seems very over reaching to me

    I think they need to put this there as they are transmitting the data, and this data could end up anywhere. They are also saying that you cannot "charge them" or so for royalties since their site is replicating the data across the web. Am sure some band put their music there in the past and found out that some guy in china was listening to is but they were getting no money from it. The band probably sued the site as they may only have wanted the music be available in a specific country....Myspace probably just covering themselves in the event that something like that would happen.....

    The main thing is once you remove the data from the hosting provider they no longer have this right, so I dont think they will try and sell your music without your consent.

    the times made it sound like rupert murdoch was stealing all the music. ;)

    does the license just cover myspace.com or can they use it for other reasons?
