I am a little surprised that I have heard no mention on this forum about the Game fair this year in Emo...
I was there on monday but got to see very little of what was on offer as I was working.
There appeared to be a good number of stockists of guns and shooting apparel there.
Well, was anyone else there, anyone pick up any bargains or see any new 'toys' for sale?

P.S. I thought the aerial acrobatics was the highlight of the show. Those girls wing-walking have some set of 'liathroidi' on them, fair play to them!

I was there, in a colourful white van on the Sunday, and a big red truck yesterday, great weather for it, seemed to be fairly decent crowds too. I had a stroll around the stalls, but my credit card was securely locked away, so didn't go away poorer.

Was going to go up,a mate of mine went up.
Seems to be more of same of last year,[and year before,]and expensive, getting into Emo and as were the stands.:( As well as a mile march from car park to fair.

I was there yesterday, It was only ok , I thought it very expensive, 3€ to park , 15€ to get in and 5€ for a programme to start with then 7€ for a burger and chips and thats before you even look at buying anything. Some ok stalls but who is going to buy a wax jacket at 26 deg c.
I heard plenty complaining about the cost of shooting clays there, I didnt bother bringing the shotgun so I didnt enquire as to the cost .

I didn't look at the the clay stand prices, but did notice air rifle shooting at €5 for 8 shots, they must be using titanium pellets!

True enough about the high price of shooting,
I believe it was €25 euro to shoot 50 sporting clays with you having to supply your own gun and shells.
Another crew (might have been Trapper John) were charging €5 for 25 shots on a computer simulated screen game, over in less than 1 minute--- now that is a rip off!

    cartridges - €3
    clays - €10
lithuanian imigrant that will throw clays for a few bucks - priceless

I have to say that after being there last year and going back this year that it was better this year, made the wise decision of deciding to shoot, so was let into the car park beside the shooting so no long walk. I found there was more stalls too than last year. Got mysefl some combats and some camo netting at a reasonable price so all in all I was happy enough, there was the usual over the top pricing on a lot of stuff but thats expected really.

I went for the first time last weekend.
Well impressed and truly enjoyed the day.
Great fun both for meself, the missus & the kids.
And contrary to the general opinion here I found the prices very affordable.
