I'm looking for someone to generate some ideas for christmas cards (a design brief is available) and to select one design for print. I'll pay what it takes for the right design. That said I'm not interested in starting with "how much will I get paid?". We're selling design all year round albeit landscape design, our requirements are outside our skill set. I thought it worth trying this forum to explore finding someone (professional/amateur) to design some cards.

Not a good starting point - when the seller "you" asks "me" the buyer for the selling price. I'd prefer you to tell me what it will cost, and if you can back up your costs with some relevant examples of imaginative graphic work, then there'll be no problem agreeing the price.

You sell the sizzle and I'll buy the sausage.

    More details PM.

I think X-SL may have asked that question because so many come on this forum looking for free work.

A proper brief would be required for most people to quote on this job (feel free to pm me the brief). I may be interested in this in the coming weeks, a little busy right now, but best of luck in your search!

Just to stress, the more detailed your brief - knowing exactly what you want, or atleast partly what you want will lead to a more cost effective and timely project.

    Sonnenblumen,

What's wrong with asking about money? (were not a charity) Have you ever asked someone to quote you a figure before job starts? Course you have...So why should we be any different? The mere fact that you have brought up a “concern” about money, makes me think you want cheap labour.

    Not for me thank you.....

    Baggio.

What's up with you Baggio? Did you have a bad experience once? It seems apart from not reading the thread correctly you go to accuse me of looking for cheap labour!! If you have nothing constructive to add then go do something else. I expressed no concern, and certainly am not looking for cheap labour! Sounds like you had a bad experience once upon a time.

Anyway you do not know me and I do not know you and guess what I'd prefer to keep it that way!
