    Just turning left from the Killimer road in Ennis today and accelerator goes to the floor, snapped cable 3" from carburettor linkage, trundled along at idle into a car park and rang for help ie Skoda Octavia TDi and tow rope. then decided to have a root around the toolbox and voila those little white electrical connecting blocks with the brass screws, a bit of sweating and swearing later, (cable is right over exhaust manifold and access blocked by distributor and air filter) I was mobile, kept it steady on the throttle all the way home, and my scrap 850 still has the cable in it:D

    ps Was at Mungret , Limerick on Sunday , great show.

    Glad you found a way around it Blue850 - was nice to meet you and see your 850 for real at the show - the car has real character. :)
