Surprise surprise .... I was driving up Limekiln Road, past Tymon Park yesterday and what did I see?

A group of individuals out in the middle of one of the(unused) footie pitches.
With a very familiar blue smoky haze in the air round them :p .

I came back a half hour later and got a better look - sure enough, it was a group of nitro buggy or truckers.

This would be on the far side of the M-50 from the normal carpark near the Penny Black Pub where the nitro saloon rally guys usually go, and I would guess it's well out of RC range from them.

    No.
It just looked like they had collared a football pitch that was unused at the time.
Next time I see them I hope I've time to pop in and get a closer look.

I'm less than 10 minutes from that place !

It was the 2nd field in from the traffic lights on the Limekiln Road, across the stream.
I have no idea if they had permission. But their engines were running!

Went there with coolwings last night, nice open field and nice place, seems to be sufficiently far enough from houses to prevent objections. *touch wood*
It has good potential :) and I will deffinetly be going back.

Did ye meet any of the lads who usally drive there?

Only the two of us, but it was an odd time we popped in at.

BTW Tallus located an area of dusty dirt right beside the grassy place I was looking at, so whirly dusty donuts will be on the menu also.

We both feel that this is a handier offroading place than the BMX at Marley.

I really wrecked my truck one day. It was so dirty I just washed it in the sink with water gushing down on it, didn't wreck the electronics which is good:) Oh....what does BTW stand for:confused:
