Hi, I took these photos and did a little editing to use them as coverart for my upcoming compilation album.
Any feedback would be welcome before I finalise my choice.

I also have a few other photos, I'll stick them up too if anyone is interested.

    Front

    Back

    Thanks.

nice, but the font is just a tad too faint. tbh i'd throw this up in digital art too, they'd be alot of help on the technical side.

Yup the pictures are perfect, although the one on the front could do with a touch more contrast to bring out the plane (just my opinion, obviously) - but on a more graphic design note I'd say the font doesn't really do it for me. I like the clean, understated look you're going for but it just looks too ordinary - maybe something a bit shorter and squatter, still sans serif, just to give it that subtle but classy edge. I like how it's slightly translucent and not bright white though.

The beveling really isn't doing these any favours, i'd completely remove it tbh. The photo is good enough to stand on its own without any messy preset layer effects.

yea i'd agree - lose the bevel
maybe deepen the sky colour a bit
perhaps try a chunkier font and apply the bevel to the text see what that looks like!

I'm not sure what level you're at in Photoshop but removing a little bit of the noise and bumping the saturation and contrast just slightly would help. From a graphic stand point I'd make the text lower with a more modern font. Have it in roughly the same spot as the plane just on the right, would balance the cover better. You should aling the text to the right, meaning the n in Watson would be over the 6 or even make the name bigger so that it's as wide as the smaller text. Also don't put '06 it looks lazy, use the full 2006. I'd agree with losing the bevel but a slight top to bottom gradient mightn't be bad.
