problem connecting 360 to my pc

    i have a netopia 3347nwg - and i am under the impression that having both my pc and 360 connected to this would allow me to connect them together - i install the software from xbox360.com/pcsetup as prompted by my xbox but duuring installation i get an error message "configuration error. setup cannot find tha 360 console . . ." - it tells me to make sure that it is conneced to the home network - which i thought that by having it connected to the router it was -now maybe im wrong here but i cant figure out what i need to do - any help???

    I have the same problem with my 360, as far as I could see having the 360 optimised for live seems to force it to ignore anything else on the network :( haven't found a way round this other than to keep switching the settings when I want to use Media centre and then switching them back. so if anyone knows a better way than this I'd be very grateful.
