Ah, im not the only one who's school performance seriously deteriated after 4th year...? You just didn't have to go to class ffs! They never caught you if you just did... nothing.

I blame the school. It's obviously their fault for me mitching. :D

Lol.I was one of two people who spent over half of the year 'sick'.Complete waste of a year,my brother told me not to do it but my bitch of a sister in law forced my mother to get me to do it.

Any junior certs around-DO NOT DO 4TH YEAR!!!Use that extra year to feck up your leaving and then repeat. ;)

but for the first time :p actually come to think about it there was a girl in my irish class last year that was 20 but she repeated 5th year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,252 ✭✭✭Funkstard

My maths teacher was telling us about one of his former students who was 15 when he sat the Leaving. The dept. weren't going to let him sit it so young, but eventually they relented. He got an A1 in everything, the freak. He was also on the SCT. At 15. And got an A1 in everything. Now he's the head of some department in NUI Galway and he's only 36 or something.

    One of 'those' people.

goin straight on to college(i hope), yeah the parents wanted me to do 4th year, but basically it was ****e so i didnt

I know a good few people who were as young as us doing the leaving and they're all fine in college

Only downside is the possible lack of drinking etc
