    I want to put a link to a video on my blog how do I capture and put a screen shot of the video into my post or is there a better way of doing this. You know you see in some blogs or websites you see the mini screen, you can just hit play to watch. Please excuse my blonde ignorance.

    yes i know i can host the video on one of these sites you tube but how do i put a screen shot of the video player on my site, is this possible.

    thanks subway, heres wat Im on about. Have a look at this blog http://villagegirl.typepad.com/ now i dont know anything about this blog or its content but you see where there is a screen shot of the video player, I have seen this on alot of blogs its nothing new. The video footage/content maybe hosted or linked to elsewhere but I want tgo show one of those screen shots on my blog. Any help appreciated.

    Can nobody help me with this matter. I want to upload video footage and store it on one of these sites like youtube.com or google video but is it possible to put a screen shot of a media player on my blog and when you press the play button on the screen shot it plays by linking you to video uploading site.

    hi,

    basically you just get a screenshot of a media player and thats it.
    if you click anywhere on the image it plays he video.

    if your site uses html then it looks like this -
    <a href="video.mpg">
    <img src="image.jpg">
    </a>

    video.mpg is replaced with the location of your video
    image.jpg is replaced with the location of the screenshot

    there are more complicated, and better, ways of doing this but i dont know if a blog will allow you to use them.
