Baby Blackbird Can't Fly

There's a baby, well more of an adolescent blackbird, stuck in my back garden and the poor thing hasn't learnt to fly properly. He can jump/fly from a flower pot to maybe a fence, but can't fly any higher/further. He seems pretty dejected now, and is just sitting on a rock in the corner... Anything to help, or just wait for the cats (there aren't many) to get him?

That's him... he hasn't a hope of being able to fly away...

Usually the parents will continue to feed for a couple days after the little uns have fledged. So there is a good chance it'll be fine.
