    I see Budget travel and the likes are selling package holidays to mexico now, fairly cheap aswell.

    Was thinking of heading there with the GF in mid September for a change from the usual European destinations, anyone any experiences or comments about this destination?

    It's hurricane season that time of year, that's why it's cheap. I was thinking about it myself until I was told this, however it doesn't get hit by hurricanes every year.

    Hmm thats disappointing, was starting to look forward to it, but i dont think id take the risk of hurricanes. anyone know how far in advance the hurricanes can be predicted, we could book the day before we went if there is a good forecast.

    ill probably just head to lanzarote instead

    went last septemeber to cancun, was good craic, very end of season tho, tho the reason i went the is cos i was sick of going on holiday and irish and english were everywhere, but now budget do it.

    its very expensive there(cancun anyway) but its alot of fun, in general people are very nice, the hurricane thing, i dunno bout, didnt cancun get seriously smashed up last year at the end of septemeber, like hotels destroyed?

    i'm just back from cancun and they're still repairing stuff from the hurricane last year. typical resort only replace english with yanks. nightlife is good and you can do some cool stuff life snorkelling with tropical fish & swiming with dolphins.

    the time to go is definately spring break at easter.

    yup, but its like twice as much to go there then, but then again thats what i'm saving for at the moment. for two weeks all in i was quoted close to 4 grand.

    what hotel were you in?
