    MINI MARATHON DIVERSIONS - 5th June 2006

    Women’s Mini Marathon

    MINI MARATHON DIVERSIONS FOR 2006:

    Bank Holiday Monday, 5th June 2006
    Starting time & location: 3.00pm at Fitzwilliam Square.

    Route 10: Prior to race will operate as follows due to closure of St Stephen’s Green.

    To City: normal to Baggot Street left to Mespil Road on to Grand Parade, Portobello to Camden Street on to South Great George’s Street, Dame Street and normal route.

    From City: normal to D’Olier Street, Nassau Street on to Clare Street, Merrion Square North, Mount Street Lower, Haddington Road to Baggot Street and normal route.

    The last through bus to Belfield will be the 12.09hrs from the Park.

    The last through bus to the Park will be the 12.59 hrs from Belfield.

    Buses can not enter Stephen's Green until 18.30 hrs.

    During the race and up to 18:30

    The number 10 will operate to Nassau Street as normal.

    From Nassau Street Westland Row, Pearse Street to Westmoreland Street and normal route to Phoenix Park.

    The First through bus to Belfield will be the 18:15 hrs from the Park.

    The First through bus to the Park will be the 18:37hrs from Belfield.


    Route 172:
    To City: operate to Nassau Street.
    From City: operate via Lincoln Place to normal route.


    Route 3
    Before 14.30 hrs operate normal service for route 3 (note: last through bus to Belfield will be the 13.37 from Larkhill

    During race (14:30 to 17.00 hrs) Operate to and from St. John’s Church, Sandymount

    After race (17.00 hrs), service will return to normal route from Larkhill.


    Routes 7, 45 (No Sunday Service for No 5’s)

    During race (14:00 to 17:30)

    To City: via Merrion Gates, Strand Road, Beach Road, Irishtown, and Ringsend Road to Pearse Street and normal route.

    From City: as above.


    Route 11 (From 08.00am to18.30 hrs)

    Northbound: via Ranelagh, Charlemont Street, Camden Street to city and normal route.

    Southbound: via George’s Street, Camden Street to Ranelagh and normal route.


    Routes 14, 14A, 44, 44C, 48A,

    (From 06.00 am to 18.30 hrs) -

    To City: via Camden Street, Aungier Street to South Great George’s Street and city.

    From City: (14/A) via South Great Georges Street to Camden Street, South Richmond Street to normal route.

    From City: (44,48A) via South Great Georges Street to Camden Street,

    Harcourt Road and Charlemont Street to normal route.


    Route 18 (From 14.30 hrs to 17.30 hrs)

    Route 18 to terminate in Ranelagh during race. buses to use "The Bleeding Horse Pub" as turn around point.


    Route 46A (From 9.30 am to 14.30pm)

    Up to 14.30 To City: (46A) Left at Leeson St Bridge to Grand Parade, Canal rd, right at Portobello to Richmond St, Camden St, Aungier St, George’s St, Dame St to City Centre.

    From city: Dame St, George’s St, Aungier St, Camden St Harcourt rd, Charlemont St left to Grand Parade, Mespil rd right to Leeson St and follow normal route.


    Route 46A (From 14.30 –18.30)

    To City Stillorgan rd left to Fosters Avenue, Roebuck rd right to Clonskeagh rd, Ranelagh rd, Charlemont St, Camden st, Aungier St, George’s St, Dame St to City Centre.

    From City Centre: Dame St, George’s St, Aungier St, Harcourt rd, Charlemont St, Ranelagh rd, Clonskeagh rd left to Roebuck rd, Fosters Avenue right to Stillorgan rd and normal route.

    Route 63, 84,145(From 14.00 – 17.30)

    To City: Right into Mount Merrion Avenue, left on the Rock Road and right at Merrion Gates, Strand Road, Beech Road, Irishtown, Ringsend Road to Pearse and onto normal route.

    From City: Route 63, 84,145

    Pearse Street, Ringsend Road, Irishtown, Strand Road, Merrion Gates, onto the Rock Road and right onto Mount Merrion Avenue and onto normal route.


    Route 15, 15A, 15B, 15C: (From 06.00 am to 18.30 hrs)

    To City: via Camden St, South Great George’s Street, Dame St, and City.

    From City: via South Great George's Street to Camden Street, South Richmond Street to normal route.

    Route 13/A:

    From 13.00 pm the normal terminus on Merrion Square will be moved to Westmoreland Street. Route 13 will operate to and from Westmoreland Street until 16.30 hrs. After 16.30 hrs the 13 route will operate as per normal from Merrion Square.

    Route 4:
    Last departure from Ballymun to St. Vincent’s Hospital before the race is at 12.15 hrs.

    Route 4: Last departure from St. Vincent’s Hospital before the race is at 13.15 hrs.

    During the race, and up to 17.30 hrs the number 4 bus will operate to Nassau Street only.Then from Nassau Street, to Westland Row, Pearse Street, Westmoreland Street and onto normal route.


    BUS TOURS:

    Until 14.00hrs tour buses to operate via Merrion Square, Westland Row, Pearse Street, and onto route at Dame Street. From14.00hrs tour buses to operate O’Connell Street, D’Olier Street and onto their route at Dame Street.

    Leixlip Festival - June 3rd, 4th & 5th 2006

    Leixlip Main Street will be closed to traffic on Saturday 3rd June between 1230 and 2200 hours and on Sunday 4th June between 1200 and 2330 hours. Monday 5th June between 1200 and 1900 hours.

    As a result, the following bus diversions will apply:

    Route 66 Outbound: All buses will operate via the Celbridge Road (R403), passing Weston Aerodrome, turning right onto R404 past Barnhall Rugby Club and rejoining the normal 66 route by turning left at Our Lady of Nativity Church in Leixlip. This diversion will apply on the inbound journey in reverse.

    Route 66A: No Routing Change.

    Route 66B Outbound: All buses will operate via the Celbridge Road (R403), passing Weston Aerodrome, turning right onto R404 past Barnhall Rugby Club and terminate at Hewlett Packard. This diversion will apply on the inbound journey in reverse.

    Diversions on Route 122

    ROAD WORKS ON NORTH CIRCULAR ROAD

    On Saturday 3rd June and Sunday 4th June from 0600 hours until 2400 hours on both days, the North Circular Road from Berkeley Road Junction will be closed to all traffic.
    Please note the following changes:

    Route 122 to city: will run its normal route as far as Berkeley Road where it will then divert left to Eccles Street, then right to Dorset Street and then continue on its normal route.

    Route 122 to Cabra: will run its normal course to Dorset Street, then divert left to Eccles Street, then right onto Berkeley Road and then left onto the North Circular Road and continue on its normal route.

    Temporary Bus Diversions - 33/33A & 33N

    Closure of Skerries/Balbriggan Road

    Due to the closure of the Skerries to Balbriggan Rd. the following routes 33,33A and 33N will have their services suspended from Thursday 1st June 2006 to Monday 5th June 2006 between Skerries/Balbriggan/Skerries.

    A shuttle bus will be in operation.

    The service will operate on the half hour from Balbriggan commencing at 0630 hrs. And on the hour from Skerries commencing at 0700 hours. The last bus will be at 2400 hours ex Skerries.

    Special Bus services to the Garden Party

    Dedicated buses will be in operation by Bus Éireann to and from the Garden Party concert at Ballinlough Castle, Athboy, Co Meath on Sunday June 4th.

    Buses depart from Busáras at 1200 hours returning immediately after the concert.

    Tickets are priced at €20.00 return. Advance booking is essential.

    June Bank Holiday Weekend Arrangements

    In the region of 200,000 customers are expected to travel on Bus Éireann services between Thursday June 1 and Tuesday June 6. In line with the Bus Éireann ‘Free Sale Policy’ extra buses and coaches will be provided as required to ensure all customers who present for travel are carried. Customers are advised that there will also be some changes to the normal timetable over the holiday period.

    Friday 2 June and Saturday 3 June
    Services will operate to normal weekday timetables with additional buses as required on all major routes.

    Sunday 4 June
    Services generally will operate to Sunday timetable with some alterations.

    Monday 5 June
    Services generally will operate as on Sundays with a number of alterations and extra services to cater for people returning to main centres on Monday evening

    Tuesday 6 June
    Normal weekday services on all routes will resume with the addition of the 06:15 Killarney/Limerick service which will operate as on Mondays
