It appears my computer has become infected with some trojan malware thing. A little popup (see attached) showed itself a while ago, and I've been running AVG, SpyBot and Ad-aware. They should up a few things each, and quarantined or deleted some stuff.
But that popup is still there, and I've a process running called "dcomcfg.exe" which I've never seen before (probably to do with the popup). No matter how many times I close it, it just keeps opening.
I've also noticed the pc's running a bit sluglishly, although that might be my paranoia.

If it's any use, Ad-aware quarantined the offender called WIN32.TROJANDOWNLOADER.ZLOB.
I'm downloading a malware destroyer at the moment, so I'll see if that makes any difference.

Anyone have any tips or info on that trojan?

Try going into safe mode and scanning, seems like a widespread virus alright.

Back-up your files onto a DVD, CD, spare HD etc and prepare to do battle ! I'd advise saving the files as often is the case with these is that a reformat and re-install of Windows is the best solution :(

Are you sure you have AVG completely up to date? There was an update 2 days ago which dealt with a variant of zlob.

All my progs are up to date, including AVG.

I got it sorted anyway, just a matter of running a small program (Smitfraudfix) that I got off another forum, sorted it straight out.
