A lot of people change their usual drink during the sunny weather. I love wine, but switch to cocktails, west coast cooler, even the odd Breezer pineapple or crisp apple.

WWM had a thread on this, but I can't find it :/

If you do, what do you switch to during the summer?

few different things, im a vodka and d coke girl but feel the occasional need for something else!

now be advised, this is the kinda thing you'd only really drink if your mates are way ahead and you need to catch up!

its on the basis of fat frogs- the drink is called pink ladies (or pink pussies in the north- who knew??)

blue wkd, red wkd, pineapple breezer! mix it all in a jug and away you go!
if you feel adventurous, throw a few vodkas into it

NB: these are grand for a while but wouldnt encourage prolonged drinking of it.
its sickening and even though the ingredients are weak individually, they can do damage when mixed!

Chilled white wine is perfectly nice in the summer.

Its the only time of the year I will drink rosé.

Weize beers (erdinger, franziskaner etc) are great in the summer.

Gin and tonic is a fantastic drink on a hot summers day with no where to go.

As long as the drink is chilled it can be good. Obviously I'd be less likely to drink brandy or whiskey (neat). Guinness might take a step back (but is still nice).

As for fat frogs or pink ladys or west coast coolers - you should both be shot.

    West Coast Cooler
White wine based alcoholic drink with fruit flavours.
    Best served chilled.

So shoot me over fruit flavours! :p

    happily :p

but seriously, the wine in west coast coolers is ****e to start with.

I may be a bit of an alcohol snob, i just don't like drinking stuff that contains a slew of E numbers and other chemicals. Alcopops and similar drinks fall into that category.

Gin and Tonic and Gin and Lemon are in
    Coronita and lime
Most lagers are still alright (chilled bottles ahead of pints or cans though)
My staunch preference for red wine over white is weakned

    Guinness is out
Rum and coke and whiskey and coke take a step back although never completely out of the picture..

For anyone who hasn't quite figured out their drink of the summer yet, I've just come across this site - webtender.com . You may get some inspiration there. It's also accessible by WAP or PDA apparently, wap.webtender.com
