Good luck to the lot of you playing in the IPT Final tonight (Big Dragon, NickyOD, MrPillowTalk and many more) - hope you all play well, enjoy yourselves and most importantly, bring home a ton of cash!

I'll be playing at least one of the side events, so might see some of y'all out there :)

Thanks guys. Im surprisingly relaxed and feeling good about this, the biggest game of my poker life! Was a good decision not to play last nights Charity game.

Good luck to the rest playing, hope you'll be happy with 2nd. ;)

Yes good luck lads. Remember your going out there this evening to do a terrible thing. To try to beat each others brains out.

    Let the battle commence!

Anyone got the full list of boardsters/casino locals playing?

Best of luck Dave, Eoin and Nicky. From reading blogs and your collective recent form, you guys all seem well prepared, so hopefully we'll see some big cashes.

I noticed a few names and faces on the report that fifnt play in the charity game last night.

It's very possible that a few of them gave a hundred bucks anyway but to those that didn't bother I just want to cut and paste my note from antes up:

Congrats to all those players who played last night, and can afford to play tonight, I wonder if you an forward my wishes that those who didn't bother giving to the charity lose. Is that possible?

Just so I'm clear, I'm congratulating those that gave a hundred bucks to the charity last night and to those that didn't bother, I do hope that they lose.

    good night, Des Farrell

3k is a lot of money to some people, if I had been playing the 3k I would not have played a 500 player crapshoot the night before. As it is I didnt play the charity tournament because I decided to go drinking instead.

Des, I presume you are talking about the big name people playing this only and not the people who won their ticket. For the poeple who won the ticket the following is likely true:

    1. They didn't want to have to have a very late night the day before a big event as they want to be fully focussd for it.
    2. They may have worked on Friday thus exacerbating the first point.
    3. Paying 200 reg on top of their ticket may have been deemed as enough extra expense on the weekend.

Ah well finished 57th today. Got my stack up to 26k from 15k during the first level. Then first hand after the first break this happens.
Blinds 400-800-75 and I'm on the button. Theres one limper and I make it 3300 to go with Q2o  . Anyway the limper calls. Hes relatively new to the table and is CL at the table possibly top 3 overall. Don't know him from Adam just some old northern chap.
So the flop comes down 655 with two spades. Hes leads for 6k and I instantly push. He took an age to call the 17k more but eventually muttered the words lets gamble and turns over KJ of spades. Standard call with the stack this chap had.
I don't have a spade but actually hit my 4 outer on the turn the 2c. 7s on the river and its over. I counted that he had 17 outs on the end.
Really enjoyed the 2 days as this is easily the biggest event Ive played so far.
Good luck to MrPillowTalk whos still in.

The organisers talked it up, I was more than happy to play with original structure etc but on the day I wasnt in the mood for playing a 500 player tourney with 20 minute blinds which is what I was expecting,

"at the very least we expect to break the 370 player record" is what I was told the night before

This is a bit much. I assume you didn't mean any of this and will be taking back these comments asap.

    Yeah,

it was a dumb thing to say. I was talking about a couple of the Brit pros actually but this wasnt the place to bring it up. Dumb and drunk really. anyway, congrats to Big Dave Dragon for playing in the big one and also putting up half a ticket in the charity game. More like him is what we need.

Oscar, I'm not sure what ur getting at but yes, the 330 was all my own money. anyway enough said about a dumb comment. d.

I assume you'll be taking back those outrageous comments you made on Antesup too. Cos everything you posted there was way out of line.
