Hey I'm a total noob, but I recently installed fedora core 5, and I was just wondering is there anyway I can get emacs for it?? I downloaded that latest one from the ftp, but when I did a ./configure on it I got back errors. Any Ideas?

It should have come with it. Go into the package manager and check under the text utilities.

it's under editors or development tools in the package manager as far as i remember. i think it's included (unless it's changed since RH9).
