Lot of derby talk here and not much on the ladies. What's the fancies for tomorrow? I'm torn between Speciosa and Time On. Backed Speciosa in the 1000 so feel I should stick with her!

Was originally thinking Speciosa myself but did a little digging on her sire and dam, her sire Danehill Dancer never won over any further than a mile, her grand sire Danehill is much the same story. Hardly any of her half brothers and sisters have every even ran over further than a mile with only one to ever win over the Oaks distance. Similarly none of her half brothers and sisters on the Dams side have ever done anything over 1Mile 4 furlong. Hopefully Robin or some of the breeding experts can expand on this.

My pick therefore is Short Skirt who really looked well suited by the step up in trip when beating Alexandravo last time, jockey arrangements suggest she is Stoute first choice runner.

I can't believe a horse that has only 1 from 5 races is favourite for the premier fillies classic, so I've layed Alexandrova at 11/4, I can see her drifting big time there may be a good trading oppurtuinity.
