When I see the great selection of cars the people have here on Board's .ie I think we could hold our own classic car show or run, would anyone be interested? While I wouldn't go as far as Dublin I would go half way or something.

I'd be on for it - either a formal meet or a meet at one of the shows over the summer.

    Question is where?

Okay I'm going to stickie this.

For those wondering where the fupp Inestgue er Inistioge is its located in a spendid spot on the river Nore about 15 miles south-west of Kilkenny town (N9) and 5 miles from Thomastown (N10) and 8 miles NW of New Ross (N25/N30)

I've been there for the last 3 years, lovely little village, and the show field is right on the banks of the Nore, right beside the village.

    Sounds like a plan!

I may be able to combine it with a trip up north, but either way, you can count me in provisionally at least :)

If any of you are still interested in meeting up in Inistioge, the Tipperary Light Car and Motorcycle Club are having their annual run next Saturday and scheduled to stop in Inistioge in the early afternoon for refreshments.

The run starts in Clonmel (Dunnes Car Park) and travels via Kilkenny (for lunch in the Springhill) to Inistioge, then on to New Ross before finishing up in the Rhu Glen Hotel - on the Waterford - New Ross road.

Last year there were upwards of 200 cars, so if the weather holds it should be a fun day. I'll be in the '66 Vauxhall Cresta.

    See you there.:)

Bump! Are we still on for this and if so what day of the weekend? I guess Sunday makes most sense as that leaves Saturday for preparation and Monday for repairs!

Show of hands? Any plans to meet?
I'll be there but not in a car - plan is to tour the area over the weekend so I will be in the campervan.

Next question - is the spectator parking in a field or is there hardstanding nearby. Don't want to repeat a previous performance where I bogged the camper at the entrance to a car show and had to be towed out by a tractor...

Now it's looking like I won't go. Plan was to be in the area in a camper but after ringing around, all campsites are full.

Anyone know of more shows in the south towards the end of the month/early Sept. I'll be touring around the area.

    8~(

    (I'm sad today)

Would you not go and avail of the empty field after the show, cheaper too I'd say than an official camp site.

How about meeting up in Swords before driving off? It was to meet all other folks in June before going to the show.
