I am new on this forum

I am looking for mercedes w126 series V8 5.6L engine and I am also need some w126 coupe parts .

You'll find it hard enough to find a 5.6 litre in Ireland to be honest. I had a couple of them over the years and at one time everyone who had them knew each other as there were so few around. Plenty of them in the U.K. and the U.S.A. but beware of valve oil seals. Great car in a straight line but very tail happy.:D

Maybe try some of the breakers up north? Some advertise in the Golden Pages. You'd be more likely to find an engine of that type up there...

There's a guy in Wicklow breaking a 560SEl at the mo' !

I'll try and get his details for you !

Also Sean Murphy in Greenmount Motors had a rough one sitting there for a while. He may break it, he does a few anyway so might have more info !

Also Alan Walton in Kinsealy has a 380SE which may yeild some parts !

I can get my hands on an 1990 (on of the very last) ex-Rowan Atkinson 560SEL (according the MB UK he was the first owner) in very good condition. 125k on the clock with documents of major maintenance over the last 3 years including heads redone, gearbox and torque converter reconditioned, new brakes, discs, exhaust, etc etc. Well maintained, metallic blue, ALL options!!!! Only issues with the car is paint on bonnet is getting a bit flat. Car is in the Netherlands, it's rhd and on UK plates, so the owner can't really sell it here. He's looking for 3,750 but for that you'll need to drive it home yourself and pay VRT... still the amount of car you get for that sort of money ...

Andy, call Kelly's garage in Lusk, ask for Paul. There was a SEC rotting away in their backyard some months ago. It was red if I remember well.

For car shipping, ask Royal Oman in Dublin. They did an excellent job with my cars.
