I may be wrong but I don't think the shower should be plumbed onto the mains water feed. It should be fed from the tank in your atttic. It may be that you (a) need a pressure booster pump (Grundfos seem to be the best) or (b) the pump you have is bust and needs replacing - did the shower work correctly at some stage. Or of course (C) don't wash yourself and your clothes/dishes at the same time!

Apart from the obvious, theres not alot you can do. Afaik the only solution would be to get it re-plumbed to the tanks instead which is a major hassle.

as far as i know its supposed to be connected to the mains, i could re plumb it to the water tank but i suppose i'd need a seperate booster pump as the pressure from the tank wouldent be enough,,

Would the header pressure from the tank not be enough for you, there is a pump in the shower unit to aid in adding pressure.

Afaik from working on jobs with plumbers, I always assumed the water feed for the shower came from a storage tank.

its not a power shower,,,the attic is converted so the water tank sits on the attic floor, only about two and half feet between shower head and tank .......

    So Happy,

did the shower always do this? Or is it only a recent thing?

Never heard of a triton trace, the most common are Triton T80 which are mains fed and T90 that are fed from the storage tank and have an integral pump.

If it's a recent thing, the shower head could be restricting the flow or heating element could be scaled up, some have an inline filter that could be blocked.
If their is a gatevalve on the supply pipe make sure its open.

sorry its a triton TRANCE,,bought in B&Q 10 months ago, water pressure seems to have dropped slightly in our area recently, the low pressure cut out is a safety feature,,,me tinks i need a pump of some sort to up the water pressure,,,
