Quick Question - Dell Celeron M Laptop

    Hi all

Was looking at this laptop from Dell (E-Value Code: IEDHSONL-N05136). I've looked around a bit on the web about Celeron M processors, but I was just wondering if anyone can clarify if it's a decent enough processor? I plan to use the notebook mainly for word, excel, internet browsing and for occasionally burning Video DVDs and ripping CDs onto the laptop aswell, but don't want to spend a load since I have a fairly powerful desktop which I can use for gaming and more intensive stuff.

    Any comments welcome, cheers! :)

Based on what you've said the Celeron M would be well up to the job.
The only issue I'd have is the lower battery life of the celerons if you plan to use it on the go alot.
If you intend to get that model I recommend you pay the 12€ for the upgraded battery.

Have to say, the battery life on the 1300 isn't too bad on the bog-standard model.

Got one for my mother-in-law a few weeks back and she is thrilled with it. Good screen, comfortable to use and reasonable battery life. It would certainly do what you are asking of it.

If mobility is important, however, I would echo what RichyX is saying about the battery - for the sake of 12 Euro.

Cheers for the replies lads, that's exactly what I needed to know - and, about the €12 battery, I was definitely going for the upgrade anyway - well worth it for the extra power and especially since it's only €12 extra! :D

    Thanks again! :D
