I got a new Dell Dimension 9150 with a DVD burner with it. However the software Roxio says that all the DVD's i try to copy are copywrited.

Is there any way around this?

What is the point in a DVD RW if you cant copy DVDs?

You would have to rip the DVD with something like DVD Decrypter (though Im not sure that removes copy protection) and then burn it afaik

Obviously you just want to backup dvd's you own, as copying DVD which are copyrighted is illegal.

Assuming you are backing up your DVD's try this site http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ lots of guides on howto

most people use DVD Shrink to decrypt the DVD and something like nero to copy.

AnyDVD to decrypt and unlock the DVD.
    CloneDVD to copy the DVD.

Someone sticky this, we have the same thread coming up every month. My advice given here only applies if you own the original copy of the DVD and you are literally backing it up for safety, I do not condone illegal copying of DVD's you don't own, what you do is up to yourself.
