    Thinking of taking a break in rome - can anybody recommend a good 4-ish star hotel thats clean and central ?

    Also - does anyone know how roughly how much would a taxi be from Rome Ciampino (CIA) airport to city centre ?

    Any 3/4 star hotel is fine, just try not to get one near Stazione Terminale, the train station, cos it's not the best area there is.
    If you're flying with Ryanair they operate a shuttle bus from Ciampino to St. Terminale for about 5/6 euro. Don't buy one on the plane though cos they cost 8 quid, you can buy a ticket when you get on the bus. I think a taxi is about 50 or so quid.

    Ok I was looking for a personal recomendation on the hotel if possible (I know most 3/4 are passable!) - thanks for the info about the Stazione Terminale also the taxi / bus situation from the airport I didnt realise it was that far.
