Rte Lose Live Premiership Coverage!!

    Lads,

    I assume the article below means RTE have lost their live coverage starting in 2007-08 season? This is bad news:-( Its going to cost a packet to watch all the matches now..

    "Setanta and Sky have secured the broadcast rights to air Premiership games in Ireland.

    The deal replicates the recently-announced agreement for the UK, with Setanta taking two of six packages (46 games) and Sky the remaining four (92 games). Sky has previously had a monopoly in both territories.

    Additionally, Setanta has landed the rights to a seventh package - unavailable in the UK under a UEFA ruling - comprising 30 to 33 games broadcast at 3pm on Saturdays.

    The total raised by the deal, which runs for three years beginning with the 2007-08 season, was £82 million. "
