got sky HD installed yesterday looks brilliant. however one slight problem. my remote sender isnt working anymore. i moved the sensors and fiddled around with it but with no sucess.

wasnt there when it was installed but the installer said he could put in a new one for €50 suggested that the old one which i used with normal sky (not plus) wouldnt work with HD .

anyone have a problem with this.

does anyone know of a remote sender that would work

    cheers

Hi, I think I know your problem because I thought the exact same with my two senders.

It's your old remote control i.e. non Sky+ or SkyHD.
These remotes do not operate the HD box.

I bought two Sky+ remotes on ebay for €39 to solve my problem.
The magic eyes/remote senders are compatible because mine still work.

Try using your new remote in the room with the extender/magic eye, that should prove the above.

futher thinking, you may need to turn the Voltage on for the second rf port

Using your Sky Remote control at the main location:

    1 Press the SERVICES button
2 Press the NUMBER 4 button (System Set-up)
3 Press the 0,1 then the SELECT button [Installer menu]
4 Press the NUMBER 4 again. [RF Outlets]
5 Press the DOWN ARROW button once. [Outlet power supply]
6 Press the SIDE ARROW button once. [turning power on]
7 Press the DOWN ARROW button once again. [save new settings]
    8 Press SELECT.

Following the above will turn RFOut2 to 'ON' and thus enabling your tvLINK

I have exactly the same problem since getting SkyHD using a DG200 DigiSender. My Denon DVD works fine, but the SkyHD box only works intermittently, maybe 1 out of every 10 button presses. I tried turning the RF power on but it hasn't made any difference, unfortunately.

Tempted to send it back and try a different make. Shame, the picture is excellent.
