    Im doing up a report and I have to put one of those correct ticks symbols. beside a list. I havent a clue where to find it on my keyboard and I have to hand this in before lunch. Hungover and mind a blank.
    Someone please help!
    Sorry for not putting this in the work forum but i need a quick response. (and a bacon buttie)

    Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Character Map.

    It's in there somewhere.

    Start - Programs - Accessories -System Tools - Character Map - Font - Wingdings - select the character, copy paste to your doc.

    If it's in MS Word, click the bullet icon on the toolbar. Right click the resultant bullet, click Bullets and Numbering, and click customize if the bullet type you want is not available.

    I know, but bullets are for lists, and the OP specified "beside a list". Also, you have more formatting control over a bulleted list. Whatever's handiest, though.

    If you want to do it the most difficult way possible try this...

    Select font Webdings
    Type the small letter a

    Change font size if you want to make it bigger.
