I'd go for the Ibanez myself.

    Schecter or BTB personally.

I'd get the Musicmaster purely because it looks deadly. But i'd say if you're looking for the best sounding and playing, then it'd probably be the BTB400QM

The Schecter or the Ibanez get my vote

Funnily enough they've relisted the Ibanez for $350 on the main page in the last hour or so - a sign ?

On looks alone the Schecter is definitely the one for me, the quilted top on the Ibanez looks awful imo but is probably the better sounding guitar. However, in the Washburn description "These listed for $1499 but this one is in very nice shape, no issues, and just $429. What a deal on a USA bass with this Duncan system. Includes Washburn case and paperwork." A GRAND less than retail? Is it a typo or what?

Quite possibly not. Chris has some of the best prices to be found anywhere.

No most places on the net would sell for less then the RRP. That would sell Id estimate at 1200 os so in a good priced online store. Then half it for the usual second hand sells half price rule. That brings it down to 600. Its 200 cheaper then that so Id say good price.

It's not a bad looking guitar, and it's at least $800 above the RRP of the others PLUS a hardcase - a done deal methinks unless anyone can say anything against it? It's $429 so including shipping and customs what would the door-to-door price be in Euro?

Cost me €62 in customs tax vat stuff to get my Kramer Vanguard sent over from Tennesse, and delivery was €90, It wasnt from ChrisGuitars though and i think it was express delivery of some sort cos it came two days after i ordered it.

But expect to pay more than the €62 that I paid cos it'll be heaver.

i'd deffo go for the musicmaster or precision bass.

id go for the ibnaez or the musicmaster cause i know theyl play great but if the quality of washburn basses is up there with washburn guitars id deffo go for that.

The Ibanez. I've played one before and they're sexy. I'm nearly tempted to get it myself....but I have no money and I have to do the Leaving next week :(
    Drats.

LOL at that - I'm in the exact same situation  That said, I will be putting down a deposit on one of them by this weekend

Yeah I'd say the Musicmaster, it's got vibe leaking off it and I'm sure it sounds perfect. You'd be the coolest looking bassist in Dublin.
The rest are all a bit meh.

Heh, I'll be that regardless of the Bass :D

I'm not so sure - judging from the reviews on Harmony-Central it's a tad overpriced given the condition, it's a small scale and it's heavy as sin. You've just got a semi-permanent state of GAS for your "vintage rock" malarkey

He's pretty lousy at replying to emails. As he says himself, if you don't receive a reply within 24 hours send the mail again. I would suggest in your subject make it abundantly clear you're looking to spend money. Try calling him too.

    (HOLD-James O IRE 6/3)

    :)

Interesting enough was the eMail I got back off chris himself

"I'm glad my reputation is spreading in your fine Republic. We've shipped so many guitars over there - I think that you're among our top 4 international destinations."

Including delivery, the price for the Washburn comes to $572 - what am I expecting to pay after I'm hit by customs?

Sweet stuff man. I think the good old Doc has spread Chris' name around so much, it'd have to have a huge impact on his sales.

Check the resources sticky, there's an import duty calculator which is pretty spot on.

Seriously Doc, how much is he paying you?
