recently ( last 5 weeks ) some times it will start some times it wont and if i leave it for a few hours/over night it will start no probs... as you can imagine it is slightly annoying

Could it be something as simple as a bad spark plug, or it if was ruined would it never work... whereas mine works some times... I took it to a mechanic and it started every time for him so he couldnt fix it for me :D

any ideas or anything like that that i should chekc out as i am gonna open her up at the weekend and clean it out

    thanks paddy

wonder if it's flooding? Do you smell petrol? Could be a loose spark lead or bad plug.

Spark plugs have a very hard life on a 2-stroke, so changing it would be the first thing to try. If the plug is accessible without dismantling the bike too much, then it's a good idea to always carry a spare one (and a plug spanner)

Are you using proper 2-stroke oil?

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.
