hey guys, im trying to back up some photos on an xbox. evox is installed and im sure all the network settings are correct.

before i was getting an error before that ment the xbox ip was coming up as 0.0.0.0 even tho i had it set to use a static ip. That problem is sorted, and its finally using 192.168.1.3. Im using a crossover cable drectly from this pc (192.168.1.2), and i cant do anything to the xbox. I cant ping it, i cant do anything.

I've tried downloading different ftp programs. i've tried using different network settings. It cant be the pc side of things coz tbh thats basic. By the looks of it the xbox settings should be basic too, but for some reason its not working.

    Any ideas?

    if you'd can't ping, you can't connect.

Double check network settings, and or cable.

    Process of elimination tbh

yea i know mate, but the network ip adresses are perfect. I've been redoing all the same settings for ages, i even did a network diagram to make sure i was sticking to the same ip addresses lol.

Ill try the cable again. Cheers

    what was it?

evox is a bit limited to be using at this stage, avalaunch or xbmc
