laptop audio problem

    lost the icon for the speakers and completly no sound.
    in control panel it says no audio device
    it wont let me manover the audio bar
    i reinstaled the driver it needed still no joy any ideas lads?

    In system- devices. Is there any errors showing up for the audio device. Right click properties- any conflicts?

    Try going to Start->Run and type services.msc and right click on Windows Audio and select Properties. Make sure the startup type is set as Automatic and that the process is started.
