I heard with great amusement this morning that James Blunt has been banned from the airwaves. OK, so its only Essex FM (but its a step in the right direction!).

If you had control of the nationwide playlists, who would you ban off the airwaves? What songs are being completely overplayed? (Gnarls, I'm looking at you!)

J-lo, anybody that got into the industry through those fcuking popstar programs, anything that Louis Walsh had a hand in, english rappers (they're just sh!t).

I'm sure they are more, that's all for now though.

I'd ban Ronan Keating. And then I'd offer a top prize to the first listener who pops his severed head through the letter box of my radio station.

Yeah I had to severely prune this list but...

    Black eyed peas
    Pussycat dolls
    Sugababes
    Sean Paul
    Rihanna

...and the stuff mentioned above; made for txt vote in TV show crap, winners/runners up of said shows, anything produced by makers/judges of those shows...and in the majority of cases, music from current TV ad campaigns (there are very few exceptions; Guiness ads would be one)

The entire contents of the 98FM playlist...

I walk into my local shop, and I hear Top 40 music from the late 90's. For example, Madison Avenue "Don't call me baby".

No wonder its slipping well back in the JNLR's...
