6.50 Ballinrobe

I've heard a good word for Niteowl Express in this one. 1st run of the season but its expected to run well.

Currently 14/1 with PP and with 4 places it might be worth a small e/w.

In the 6:20 at Ballinrobe, I like the look of the 2nd fav Phantom Lad. The fav, Marsam, has some good juvenile form but this is its first start of the year while Phantom Lad has run three times already. In a maiden at Cork he was third behind Nightime (subsequent easy winner of last Sunday's 1000 Guineas), then in a maiden at Tipperary he was a head second behind Adajal (subsequent easy winner of a good conditions race for which he went up 17lbs!) and then he was 2nd behind the decent dual-purpose horse Kinger Rocks.

It's not going to be at great odds but I think the Weld-trained favourite is giving us a value price on Phantom Lad. Around 4/1 would be nice.
