i was looking at a competition earlier on, the closing date is nearly up, not that i have anything that would be worthy of entry, but i'm sure there's some members here that might.

what about the morning metro? .... im not a big fan of the rag to be honest, but they give a few quid away for photos submitted ... think they have daily comps too????

i didn't actually look too close at the site!!....i was wondering - in general like do people submit stuff to competitions?
i followed this link from a irish photography web site, i havent consideredit at all, do other people submit their stuff to competitions?

I never have entered one - but I definitely would. The one above looked promising - but I would not pay to enter one.

In case anyone is interested there is a photography competition on Dev Art - the prizes are teeny (free subscription etc) - here is the link for any dev art people here who may be interested :

We would like to take this time to invite you to *PhotographyChannel's first ever Photo Challenge! Photo challenges will run the first of every month and close at the end of the month, every third month there will be prizes! Photo challenges will be based on themes, to enter you must take a picture fitting to the monthly theme.

To start this challenge off with a bang, we will be starting this round with prizes.


That said , this months theme will be Food!
