What's a good DVB-S PC Tuner Card?

Just wondering what's a good pc card if i want to hook up one of my spare connections on my lnb on my Sky disk to my pc?

Do any cards offer the chance to plug in a Sky card or are you limited to just the freesat channels?

Yes, but you'll need to update the card every few weeks in the digibox.

Doh! Should have thought of looking there really shouldn't I.

That is a Skystar2 really so fine. I'm still not sure whether Technotrend or Technisat are the real manufacturers of all these Skystar style cards. Both the Technotrend & Technisat drivers work and both detect your Technotrend, Skystar, Hauppauge or Siemens as what ever it is OEM branded as.

Skystar2 != Hauppuage Nova-S.

SS2 has B2C2 chipset and Nova-S has conexant chipset. Software for either card is not compatible with the other eventhough the capabilites of both cards are somewhat similar.

Technotrend/Skystar1/Fujitsu-Siemens/Hauppuage are all based on Technotrend designs, though there are some small hardware differences.
