JJP Poker €50 rebuy on Saturday in Kildare.

Had a ticket so went down to this, unfortunatly only 40 runners but still was a good game.
3 Tables left and I get moved as my table is broken down to leave 24 players. I go onto a table with 37k test of table has 5-15k apart from one guy at table end who has 45k or more. Table is showing a lot of respect and he is bullying pots,

First hand Im button, AsJc with other big stack on the BB. 500/1000. One limper and I min raise, SB folds and Villan thinks and calls.
Flop AK6 all Clubs, BB looks like he's trying to steal with a 4k bet, and I raise to 10k. He puts on the theatrics (sp?) so I assume he's got a marginal hand mid pair maybe and eventually calls.

Turn Jd. BB sits and thinks for an age reckoning he can rob the pot and puts out 20k unconfidently. I think and havnt a clue what he's playing with was going to push but just flat call.

River Rag. He's watching very intently at the last card and pushes. I figure Im in for this much call and show my 2 pair

    He Turns over ......

I hate your min-raise. Why would you do that? He probably has the nut flush or maybe a set.

I wrote this as an exercise for myself to try and see what my opponent was thinking as I played this hand.

I was the villan here and put him perfectly on an A and a good club, my 10 6c BB special hand was enough to leave me well stacked to go on and lead this until we made a 3 way split.

Was worried as hell when he called my 20k on the turn tho, said so many prayers for the river to be a non-club. And I dont pray!!!!

Now what did ye think of the play from my side?
    I hate your min-raise.

I didn't like it either only cause I had a huge stack did I call it

I think a good player would have given the hand up after the "theatrical" call.

Did he put his jacket on and tell his mates he was going home? If so, watch out for the nuts. I've started using this a sa reverse tell in games. People see the jacket and suddenly think oh **** i'm fooked now.
