Does anyone know the law regarding the use of seat belts in cars aged 1970 and older?

AFIK, If the car was fitted with seatbelts when originally sold, it has to have them.If the car came out without seatbelts then you dont have to fit them. From personal experience it is far better to fit them and use them even if not required by law.
