No/poor satellite signal

My sky digital has been acting up for the last two weeks. Sometimes I get the 'no satellite signal' message on screen while other times the reception on some channels is quite poor and comes and goes and it just not watchable. This only happens on some channels while the likes of sky one. sky sports are fine. Then some other channels (eg UK gold) give a 'there is a technical fault' message. I have plugged out the box numerous times and sometimes it is ok sometimes not. The reception only last a few hours and eventaully the 'no satellite signal' will come up. I have tried using a different sky box but the same problem.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Is it a loose connection to the dish?

faulty lnb or lnb twisted just a tad in its bracket at the end of the dish

list 4 good and 4 bad and their transponders according to this listing

Your may have a badly aliniged dish.

The signal is OK when there is no rain but with heavy rain (like over the last two weeks) the signal is affected.

Or, is there any tree or bush growing in front of the dish's signal path?

Or, it could be water ingress in the cable, or cable has been cut somewhere.

no obstruction and unlikely to be any cut. But may be water given the heavy rain. Will just have to get the ladder out and investigate. Cheers for help

I'm having a similar issue but just with 10758 V which is the ITV1 London transponder. Seems to show No satellite signal but only now and again, signal strength & quality as follows 70%/90% Going to check my set-up tomorrow. Anyone else having similar problem with ITV, seems only to stop working at night for some reason.
