Hi folks, I have just purchased a JVC GR-FXM40EK digital analogue camcorder second hand. Would anyone know what the story is with uploading anything I record on to a PC??? I have one cable with the camcorder - a composite video/audio cable which I presume is just for watching on a TV directly from the camcorder.

Had a quick google for the specs... no mention of firewire/i-link/etc, so it looks like your only option is to get a video capture card/device for your PC.
Something along the lines of one of these should do the trick... http://peats.com/cgi-bin/shop/db.cgi?view=1&id=311&type=5&path=14x130

Yeah, this is an analogue camcorder that uses VHS-C tapes (there's nothing digital about it except maybe the zoom), so you're in the same position as if you wanted to put normal full-size VHS tapes into some digital format.

You can either (a) get an analogue capture card as above (Komplett also have a decent selection), or (b) get a standalone DVD video recorder or DVD Recorder/VHS combo thingy.
