I am having problems recording from Sky+ box to a DVD. I'm using a Scart from the Sky+ box into the DVD recorder but about 20 minutes into recordings, the recording start skipping and becomes unwatchable. Any ideas?

I'm having very similiar problems with my sky+ recordings. Some seem to work fine and others get very gerky and freeze up completly at times. If playback stops at say 4 minutes I can then go back inot the planner and restart playback from 5 minute mark and that seems to continue it but it can still freeze up further on in the playback.

    Its so annoying......

Check the signal quality. It should be at least 60%. 80% is well aligned dish/LNB.

Watching them is fine, it is the recording to DVD that causes the problem. The signal would not affect this Watty would it?

If live watching is fine but playback bad then try reformat the Sky+ disk. Sounds like a disk error then.

If Sky+ replay looks OK, but DVD recorder bad then you are using wrong or poor media (DVDs)
