Just wondering why the blinds switch position when it goes to heads up in holdem.

    Whats the point in it.

I don't know (although I've heard some silly explanations). Possibly to create action. I fold quite a lot of hands from the SB playing button=BB, not many at all playing button=SB.

When there are 3 or more players a different person gets to act last before and after the flop which means the button has less of an advantage PF and the blinds are changed heads up so the same occurs, otherwise the same person would be last to act preflop and postflop.
Why this is important is open for argument.

Yeah this was the silly explanation, this would work better as an argument for having button=BB.

Being in position in the small blind is the only reason ever to complete with a marginal hand hu

Why? Then the same person would act last before the flop and after it which we don't want.

It keeps the action as similar to 3+ handed as possible. Maybe you should start a movement for the button and cutoff to post the BB and SB respectivly in full games if its sily ;)

acting last before the flop is not enough compensation for having to post the big blind.

Ok, you think being last to act after the flop would be better compensation. I can't argue with that. But I still imagine what I said earlier is the reason the blinds are reversed, be it a good reason or not.
