I bought a 3.0Ghz Dual Core Intel Pentium, 256MB Geforce 7900 GS PCIe, 2GB Ram, 120 GB HD for 1400 euro, runs everything including Oblivion and BF2 on vry high and ultra smooth, its faster than some XPS systems

possibly, you can build much better for less. Without the bloatware and inadequite cooling. Adding to that the complete lack of upgrade options. I suppose its a question of how well do you think dells are really made for gaming?

Your confused with the Dell 9100 mini tower, the cooling is fantastic, the chassis is very well designed, air is sent from the front to the the back, its very quiet. It has support for SLI, and 4 free PCI slots, its a beast

I think thats a bit of an exaggeration, I don't really think you could build a PC "much better for less"....2gb of ddr2, a 7900, legit copy of XP...?

Dells systems are cooled fine as well. Not as good obviously as a self build set up but they do the job just fine.

The upgrade options fair enough are limited but at least they new range of xps systems are going to use standard parts :)

Im sorry but I disagree with that, I know from personal experiance that mixing a pentium 4 and high end graphics card in a dell case nearly always leads to overheating for the more than casual gamer. And spending that much on a pc with those specs you must be more than a casual gaming. Dells are at least 4 years behind in terms of thermodynamics.
